A geode is a very special stone, it looks like any other stone on the outside. When you pick it up it feels really light and if you gently knock on it with another stone, it sound a bit hollow. But, when you dare to cut it open a wonderful beauty of colorful crystals will great your eyes.
In the past 25 years I’ve been looking to find that inner beauty of everything around me and capture it in my pictures. This is the reason I called this site Geode, a peek into the hidden beauty of life.
My biggest love is for nature photography and in particular the animal world, on this site I’ve published the pictures that I’m most fond of. Select the section that most interests you and explore my world.

One of my favorite books and the very first one I read in english is Richard Bach ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’. In the book there is a small paragraph that became the motto I live my life by :
” We can lift ourselves out of ignorance, we can find ourselves as creatures of excellence and intelligence and skills. We can be free! We can learn to fly!”
When I first went to Scotland and later moved to Ireland I could not help but notice the millions of seagulls that inhabit these shores…
So my quest commenced to find Jonathan Livingston and it seemd natural that Geode’s symbol should be a seagull in the sky…
